Our selection of the leading restaurants and hotels in Scotland

When dining out in Scotland, you will often find the name “Marrbury” mentioned on a restaurant menu. Marrbury supplies over one hundred of the finest restaurants and hotels in Scotland, and they all have one thing in common - quality! These chefs source only the best Scottish produce for their menus, and many of them have received the highest of accolades, including Michelin stars.

Here we mention but a few of our favourites, however, when visiting Marrbury, please ask and we will be delighted to recommend a Cosses Country Houserestaurant or hotel that serves Marrbury smoked produce.

Nearby to Marrbury Smokehouse, and perfect for a short break is the exquisite Cosses Country House where Robin and Susan Crosthwaite welcome you to their beautiful home. Susan, a cordon bleu chef and author of "A Country Cook's Garden", will show you gastronomic paradise, the food is sublime and the house itself simply "a little taste of heaven!"

A little further afield, but perfect for exploring Dumfries and Galloway (and of course for visiting us!) is Orroland Holiday Cottages where there are two estate cottages and a large holiday home sleeping 14 for rent. Located in picturesque coastal farmland they offer panoramic sea views and are nearby to picture postcard towns such as Kirkcudbright, Kippford and Castle Douglas.

Corsewall LighthouseIn Wigtownshire, we recommend a visit to the lovely Corsewall Lighthouse, a most unusual holiday retreat.

In Perthshire, of course, there is none better than the world famous Gleneagles Hotel. Head Chef Andrew Hamer selected Marrbury’s smoked salmon by a process of blind tasting, and since then it hasAndrew Fairlie at Gleneagles been featured on the menu of Gleneagles’ Strathearn Restaurant. For the ultimate treat at Gleneagles, spend two nights there and also visit Scotland’s only Five Medallion Taste of Scotland Restaurant, Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles. Incidentally, you don't have to be a resident at Gleneagles to dine there and as its only 45 minutes drive from Glasgow, make sure you go there at least once in your life!

It is our greatest pleasure to work with our chefs. Over the years, we have often worked as a team, producing new foods, and keeping up to date with current food trends and tastes. Their constant demand for the most superior produce ensures that at Marrbury, we strive for perfection in every single batch of smoked foods that we create.
